Size-Inclusive vs Plus Size: What's the difference?
"Plus-size" = clothing made above a size 12. This term makes people buying those clothes feel othered. This can be particularly harmful when those clothes are in a completely different section of a store.
"Size-Inclusive" = clothing made in a full range of sizes, from 00-40. The same articles of clothing, available in a full range of styles, available in the same rack in-store or drop-down menu online.
The term plus-size has been reclaimed as a way people identify, if they so choose, and come together as a community.
The goal is for the industry to evolve, and we won't need terms like these because all brands will offer every size.
